We have an ongoing youth programming platform for Biodesign and Voices-People and Choices-Careers.

The MM-O-DD Biomimicry Inspiration Station is a hands-on experiential opportunity where nature's wonders can support innovation! Explore hands-on examples like a tree slab showcasing its age through rings, a fish skeleton revealing the elegance of aquatic design, and a dandelion encased in glass, symbolizing resilience. Each exhibit invites you to connect with the natural world, sparking creativity and new ideas for sustainable and regenerative solutions.

Pillar alignment: BIODESIGN The 3-part session was suggested by a 13-year-old for his soccer team. The all-boys group was challenged to come up with their own unique field and sports equipment inspired by offensive and defensive organisms. They stayed authentic to the superpowers of each animal or insect selected.

Program: Biomimicry Challenge & Business Plan Pillar alignment: BIODESIGN Purpose: Biomimicry adaptation to invent a product design & the business Plan behind the innovation. Partners: Over 20 partners over the years, including Belle Isle Aquarium, Green Living Science, Michigan Science Center, Place: Both at our partners' locations & in-house. People: All ages over 5 years. The Burdock Burr started the current discussion on Biomimicry. We have over 900 submissions from the hundreds of youth we

Program: Biomimicry & Repurpose Fashion Pillar alignment: BIODESIGN Partners: Green Living Science Purpose: Engage students to learn about the circular economy and recycling. People: The high school students were part of their Summer camp with our partner, Green Living Science, which is located at the Recycling Center. Shop at the recycling center, create their pieces, and pitch their business plans to their peers. Place: At GLS.

MM-O-DD assisted with the connects for of multiply literary roll outs.

A companion workbook to the collection of poems, "A Refugee of Me," that shows a self-harm survivor turned social worker using her life journey to guide readers into hope and light through poetry. Over 20 yeas of poems discussing depression, suicidal ideation, faith, friendships and finding peace. The workbook is a tool to engage in self-reflection and think deeply about the contents of the poetry.

Pillar alignment: BRAINWORXX Professional development special edition City of Design Talk featuring Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist and cultural critic Robin Givhan! In conversation with Kiana Wenzell, co-director of @designcoredet, Robin Givhan will recount her remarkable career and share insight into her latest book, Make It Ours: Crashing the Gates of Culture with Virgil Abloh. MM-O-DD was a promo partner.

We have listening salons, live performances by some of Detroit's finest and iconic musicians, and information from experts of various Music Genres and the Design of instruments, stage layouts, and promo for bands for the first wave of Punk zines. [Paul Zimmerman]

We are honored to have. had tthe wonderful Sonia Lee believe in our vision. She has created an original instrumental piece for MM-O-DD, and played at various times throughout the years.

We have featured the talents of the Detroit Opera with the Consulate of Italy Detroit and the Dante Alighieri Society of Michigan, in 2024 and 2025.


Marvin Thompson Jr., and the other musicians entertained the attendees.

The History and Mystery of Detroit Jazz was presented by the expert, Mark Stryker.

The Detroit talent Siloam Pool sang a mix of classics and her own written works.

We have a set schedule for our wellness, Yoga and community programming.

An experience in candlelight and an afterglow of a proper English tea service gathering.

The CADANCE 2025 was a mix of Qigong and Yoga embraced by Candlelight. Led by expert Steve Ragland.
