In 1955, Michigan artist Marshall M. Fredericks was commissioned to create a monument that represented the City of Detroit. The statue sits on a marble base with the seals of the City of Detroit and Wayne County directly behind it. Our exhibitions will start January 10, 2026, with the reveal of MODDITTIES. An elevated Cabinet Of Curiosities. The timeline runs through March 28, 2026. The next event, called Earthlings Unite, will be from April 11 - August 22, for the closing reception. In June, we will have many activations for our second Tea Dance. September, Detroit's Month Of Design, brings a stellar Design Focus which will be revealed soon. Then the November-December Worldly Exhibition will commence.
